Background of the Study
Technical education is widely recognized as a strategic tool for reducing unemployment by equipping individuals with market-relevant skills. In Lapai Local Government Area, Niger State, technical education programs have emerged as critical interventions aimed at diversifying the local economy and reducing dependency on traditional sectors. These programs emphasize vocational training and practical skill development, providing graduates with competencies that are directly applicable to modern industries. Recent initiatives in Lapai have led to the establishment of technical training centers that offer courses in areas such as mechanics, computer technology, and electrical engineering (Suleiman, 2023). These centers not only provide hands-on training but also foster partnerships with local industries to ensure that curricula are aligned with current market demands (Olaolu, 2024). Statement of the Problem
